Data and Sub-Processors

Juristic uses purposefully selected vendors and sub processors. When you use our platform, the following sub processors may process personal data. Please note that Enterprise customers have the option to choose or request implementation of other vendors, depending on their needs. Specific data processing agreements can be agreed to.

Juristic processes data on behalf of our customers, including personal data, and also for own purposes (only statistical data). We process the following types of personal data:

We process email addresses, employment information (such as place of employment), names and statistical data (such as activity timestamps and IP addresses, although most customers use a VPN with a fixed IP address) and use this information to log the user in and provide access to the platform, including necessary functionality | | B: Client or Case Data | This type of information regards the client of the law firm, such as names or other personal information. It depends on what the end user uploads but may include sensitive or special categories of personal data, such as health information or criminal records. We refer to Privacy Principles |

Juristic Timeline is a smart timeline and overview tool for lawyers and other advisors. It is not just a timeline tool (although that's how we sometimes market it). It's designed with actual insight into how lawyers work - by lawyers.

Introduction - Our Approach to Security

The protection of your data is very important to us. We have implemented a variety of security and privacy enhancing technologies in accordance with industry best practices. These measures cover our entire technology stack. Additionally, we work with industry experts to guide us to make certain that what we do, we do properly and validly.

The purpose of this documentation is to describe the primary organisational and technical security measures of Juristic ApS (CVR no. 42353639) ("Juristic"). The documentation has been prepared by Juristic and is intended to serve as external documentation in order to provide Juristic's existing and future customers with an overview of (i) information security, organization and internal guidelines; (ii) data processing; (iii) the structure of Juristic's software platform and operating environment (the "Platform"); and (iv) other compliance measures.

Internal Organisation and Policies

As a technology supplier, Juristic seeks to ensure that data and information are protected in the best possible way. This is also the case in relation to the required responsibility roles as recommended by ISO 27001. To comply with these standards, a supplier should have allocated all responsibilities for information security in relation to the performance of a contract entered into. ISO 27001 defines four primary roles: (a) top management; (b) an information security coordinator; (c) an information security committee; and (d) a system owner.

Structure Basics

Introduction

Juristic Structure is an intelligent whiteboard and structuring tool for lawyers, legal advisers, etc. It is the perfect tool for group charts and transaction overviews, but it is not limited to M&A, tax, or other corporate matters. As you can see in the compliance section of our helpdesk, it is an excellent tool for Network and Information Security, Data Protection (hereunder GDPR) and generally all legal areas where visualisation is beneficial.

Juristic Structure is a tool built around visualisation - but visualisation is just a part of the platform. Since the tools are built in close collaboration with industry leaders - and Juristic was founded and funded by people with a unique insight into the legal industry - the platform is capable of creating actual deliverables and helping lawyers with their tasks in the entire legal value chain.

When illustrating in Juristic Structure, all illustrations are made from Elements and Relationships. Elements are boxes, and Relationships are the lines connecting Elements (see the simple example below). These can be created by dragging them in from the left menu (the "Primary Menu").

The Relationships can attach to the handles on the Elements. They will appear automatically, when pointing at the Element with your mouse.

Privacy Principles

Lawful basis

Juristic acts as a data processor for its customers and end users. The end users will give their explicit consent when signing up for the platform.

Juristic only processes data when it is strictly necessary and when the platform is used - unless such processing is prohibited by the customer. See Sub Processors for a list of data types and and overview of how Juristic processes data both as a data processor and controller. Please note that Enterprise customers may have their own services, vendors and sub-processors enabled or disabled, which may incur changes to the diagrams and lists.

In relation to data, where Juristic acts as a data controller, i.e. telemetry and statistical data used for own purposes: such data will only be processed when it is necessary for legitimate interests, hereunder business interests and for the purpose of providing access to the platform, including maintaining the platform's functionality.

Juristic allows its users and customers to submit their own data in an automated way.

Data Minimisation

Juristic never asks for more data than what is necessary. Not only that: with the way Juristic's data structure is designed, the user decides what data to provide as we - technically - only need very little data to provide the service. We provide a data processing agreement to all our customers - either in English or Danish. The agreement is modelled after the Danish Data Protection Agency's templates.
